We are delighted to announce that Sofia Bartholdy, the Church Commissioners for England's Director for RI Integration, has won 'Personality of the Year' at the Environmental Finance Sustainable Investment Awards 2024. “I feel very honoured to receive this recognition, although it's really not an individual achievement - the work we do is built on the efforts and talents of the entire Investment Division,” said Sofia Bartholdy. Bartholdy, who joined the Commissioners from @Tesco's Pension Investment as Net Zero Lead in 2022, was honoured for her work on assessing the Paris alignment of oil and gas majors including bp, ExxonMobil, Shell, and TotalEnergies, which ultimately led to the decision to restrict the investments. Please join us in congratulating Sofia Bartholdy on receiving this award.

Delighted that the Church Commissioners for England has won *two* awards at 's #IPETransition conference in Brussels - for 'Leadership in Energy transition and Net Zero' and 'Outstanding Contribution in Transition Management.' These awards recognise our leadership in driving sector-wide best practice on net zero strategy for investors - making sure that the way we invest helps move the real economy towards a #cleanfuture. Sofia Bartholdy was on hand to collect the awards on our behalf. Well done to the whole #ResponsibleInvestment team and the whole investment division. #Congratulations!

To make good decisions, you need good data. That's why the Church Commissioners for England, together with Aviva Investors and Scottish Widows, has launched the Investor Initiative on Human Rights Data (II-HRD), to improve the quality of corporate human rights data available to investors - and help them in their stewardship and voting. #ESG #Sustainability #HumanRights https://lnkd.in/es5-W-_s
